At age nine Chris Morey flunked swimming lessons… The only thing he was good at was holding his breath. When it came time to do that in class, the instructor yanked him up out of the water. “Thats long enough” he said…
It wasn’t.
So it began..
Since then he’s had the good fortune to train and dive with some of the world’s most accomplished freedivers.
He dives, takes pictures and conducts classes mostly in Michigan, and mostly around the Traverse City area. Classes revolve around helping divers of all levels develop the skills to be safe and comfortable in the amazing world beneath the surface and between breaths.
Chris is a RAID certified Master FreeDiver and Advanced Instructor. And is co-author of the new RAID Open Water Freediver Course.
